Shumawa May Thin joined Airbus in September 2018 where today she is the APAC Chief Information Security Officer.
Based in Singapore, she is responsible for leading and managing the overall information security strategy and policies, implementing the associated operating model, and monitoring security risks for Airbus in the region.
Over the past 17 years, Shumawa May Thin’s career covers different industries including technology, governance and manufacturing. This has seen her deal with the development and implementation of robust operations security, conducting security risk management programmes and managing incident response.
Shumawa May Thin has a Masters in Information & Communications Technology from the Asian Institute of Technology and has the CISSP, CISA, CISM and ISO 27001 LA professional certifications. She is also an active member of cybersecurity professional organisations, where she collaborates with peers in advancing the ICT field.
